Our generalised data model allow us to describe key relationships between private markets participants

We are modelling ENTITIES (Vehicles, funds, underlying assets) in combination with EVENTS (investments, commitments, deals etc), which form a network of relationships.

Possible relationships (events) between entity types

The Carta LP Portfolio Analytics data model allows only certain network connections between entities. These connections are called EVENTS and represent e.g. commitments, investments, management relationships that occur between investors, GPs, funds and assets.

Below is a list of all valid relationship events between entities and the event type that may link them.
No other valid network connections should be created.
