How to create a new share class

Users with Full access permissions can follow these instructions to create a new share class based on an updated incorporation document.

Navigate to Essentials > Manage equity > click Manage under Share classes, then click Update share classes.

Select Add new filing date to create a new share class based on an updated incorporation document and Continue.

Drag and drop or click to upload the documents containing the share class details you would like to reflect on Carta.

Enter the document’s filing date and give the document a name, then click Continue.

By simply uploading your documents, Carta efficiently extracts share class information, saving valuable time and eliminating user error.

If necessary, information can be input manually by clicking Enter manually instead.

Click Review share classes to verify the extracted data.

To update a value, simply click into the field you’d like to modify and make the necessary changes. Use + or - to add or delete share classes.

Once done, click Save share classes.
