✅ DO

Keep the spreadsheet in its original format, with the same columns, tab structure, and file type as received
Delete entire rows for any grants that should not be repriced — select the full row and delete it so no empty rows remain
Send back only the grants participating in the repricing — the completed sheet should contain no blank or cleared rows
Return the file to Carta Support by uploading it to the data room created for your repricing, or via the secure file transfer option in your account (Your name → User settings → click Upload securely under Share file with Carta), then notify your support agent.

❌ DON'T

Do not add new columns to the spreadsheet for notes, sorting, or any other purpose
Do not add new tabs to the workbook
Do not add formulas to any cells, including formulas used for sorting or filtering grants
Do not reformat the spreadsheet (e.g. changing column order, merging cells, or altering the file type)
Do not clear or blank out cell contents in rows for grants you want to exclude — this leaves empty rows the system cannot process correctly. You must delete the entire row

Why does this matter?

Carta's system reads the repricing template in a specific format. Any additions or structural changes (even ones that seem harmless, like a helper column) can prevent the file from being processed, which may delay your repricing.
