How to set up Company Registers
UK company admins with Full Access or Company Editor permissions can use Company Registers to maintain statutory registers and submit filings directly to Companies House — all synced with your cap table.
Navigate to Company Registers in the left navigation menu and click Setup registers.
You'll need the following to connect:
Company registration number — saved in your Company Settings in Carta. Add/retrieve your company registration number by navigating to Company settings → Profile
Authentication code — your company's unique authentication code from Companies House.
Presenter ID — the 11-digit ID from your Companies House software filer account.
Presenter authentication code — the 11-digit code that pairs with your Presenter ID.
Click Connect account.
Carta shows all transactions from your cap table, organized by type. Select any transactions already filed with Companies House so Carta doesn't report them again then click Continue.
Review the entries.
To complete the setup, scroll down and check the box to confirm accuracy, then click Publish registers. Carta automatically keeps your registers in sync with your cap table as transactions happen.
