What are Areas and Specializations?


A Job Area is a collection of Tracks and Levels that are grouped together based on a specific focus area and the type of work performed within the company.

To provide further clarity within a Job Area, Specializations can be added. If Carta does not offer a benchmark for a specific Specialization, it will default to the benchmark for the overall job Area. As Carta introduces new Specializations, categorized employees will seamlessly transition to using the newly released benchmarks.
