How to view indirect (look-through) ownership across multi-entity LLCs
Carta LLC now supports a cap table view that calculates and displays look-through ownership across entities in LLC structures. This view allows you to see which investors ultimately own a stake in an entity, even if they hold their interest indirectly through another entity (such as a TopCo, aggregator fund, or layered HoldCo).
Look-through ownership shows the ultimate % stake a fund or holder has in any entity (TopCo, HoldCo, or OpCo) by tracing through the entities in between. Use it to answer “What does Fund A own in this company?” without building workaround cap tables.
