Network

The network page lists relationships between entities, such as investments and commitments.

Each table row represents a network event, i.e. the connection of a fund to an underlying assets (called INVESTMENT), or of an investor to their funds (called COMMITMENT).

Adding network events

There are two ways to add network events

1. Add by CSV upload
  1. Use our CSV template and ensure there is a column named public_id present in events.csv.
Keep the public_id column blank in order to create a new event.

  2. Define and edit the relationship between a vehicle and asset, as well as the status of that event. You can also import unique event IDs from your downstream systems for seamless data integration

  3. Add any new events directly into the reference data table

Note: Before you can use an entity to create a network event, the entity must already exist in your environment. For 'Fund-of-funds' structures, funds can play the role of asset as well as vehicle.

2. Add manually
  • Use the 'Create relationship' option in the ellipsis menu top right

Updating existing events

1. Update in bulk

Download an export of your 'Network' reference data (events.csv)
This will retrieve events with their corresponding public_id value and enable you to apply the updates in the same csv file.
You can then update these values:

  1. Event status

  2. Event ID

  3. Entry date

  4. Exit date

  5. Commitment name

  6. Commitment type

  7. Commitment size

  8. Share class ID (Note: Every share class ID should have a unique corresponding share class name)

  9. Share class name

For network events of type investment, two more fields are available: 'Deal type' and 'Sub-deal type'

After applying the changes to events.csv , re-upload the file to the platform
