What is Carta Certified?

Carta Certified is a free credentialing program for partners who want to build expertise in the Carta platform and validate their knowledge. It is strictly platform training — it does not cover general equity or cap table concepts.

Once you complete a certification, your status will appear in the Carta Community and may unlock additional partner benefits.

Carta Certified is available to two partner audiences:

• Law firm users — paralegals, associates, and anyone at a law firm working with cap tables on behalf of clients

• Finance professionals — CFOs, accountants, and equity admins at finance firms

1. Law Firm Certification

For law firm users and partners working with cap tables.

There are three levels, completed in order:

1. Proficient — foundational platform workflows

2. Premier — intermediate knowledge and workflows

3. Expert — advanced platform capabilities

2. Carta Finance Certification

For finance professionals.

There are two levels:

1. Proficient

2. Advanced

If you are brand new to Carta, we recommend starting with the Carta Orientation Video before beginning a certification course. It is ungated, requires no login, and gives you a quick overview of the platform.
