How do I approve or reject exercise requests on Carta?
If you are your company’s designated Option exercise approver, follow these steps to review submitted online option exercise requests.
After an optionholder submits an exercise request through their Carta portfolio, you’ll receive an email prompting you to approve the pending exercise.
Click the link in the email, or log into Carta and navigate to Securities > Review exercises and filter the results by Requested.
Click the three dots button at the end of a result’s row and select Review exercise request.
Review the details, ensuring the stakeholder is active and eligible to exercise, and that enough shares are available to fulfill the request. Verify tax withholding information and adjust if necessary.
