Customizing the cap table report
When using the report modal, you can refine the export to suit your needs:
Report as of Date (Required): Choose a date to view the cap table.
Past dates provide historical data.
Future dates show projections for events like vesting or grant expirations.
Worksheet Tabs (Required):
Summary: Ownership by share class.
Intermediate: Details for preferred stakeholders and non-preferred share classes.
Detailed: A breakdown of ownership by each stakeholder and their securities.
Securities Ledger by Type and Class: Includes tabs for each security type and share class(e.g. Shares, Warrants, SAFEs & Convertibles, Options).
Additional settings:
Include Excel Formulas: Adds formulas for summing values in the export.
Include Draft Securities: Includes pending issuances (marked in blue). The report must be as of the current date or earlier to include drafts.
Include Summary by Stakeholder Property: Organizes the summary by stakeholder attributes like cost center, job title, or custom properties.
Show Additional Options: Expands the options for legacy report formats, which may not flag data errors.

Addressing errors
If Carta detects errors that may affect the report, an orange banner will appear.
Click Review Here to resolve the issues in the Health Checks dashboard. Once resolved, return to the reporting page to complete the export.
