What automated emails does the RFI feature send?
Investor Clients (“Clients”) who use Portfolio Insights can use the Request For Information (“RFI”) function to send quarterly requests to their portfolio companies and obtain various information (financials, cap table, information about their upcoming financings, etc).
Upon sending the RFI email, the Clients can set a response due date (“RFI due date”) where they would like for their portfolio companies to reply by. The RFI process includes an initial email which will be sent out of the Carta platform, with automated reminders that will be sent 5 days prior to the RFI due date, on the RFI due date, and 2 days after the RFI due date.
In the following examples, a user (Kerri Stuart) at a firm (Krakatoa Ventures) is requesting information from a portfolio company (Meetly, Inc).
As part of the RFI process, Krakatoa Ventures has sent the RFI to its portfolio companies (including Meetly) for Q2 2021 and has set a RFI due date of August 20th, 2021 (20 days after quarter close).
