How to manage the Data collection hub

With Data collection clients can easily request information from their Portfolio Companies.

We’ve created the flexibility to select file types, KPIs, or information about the portfolio companies’ upcoming financings.

  1. Navigate to Data collection under Tools & Services in the left side bar.

  1. Click View companies to view the list of companies pulled from existing portfolio companies.

  1. Setup global data requirements by selecting all companies or check specific companies

  2. Click Edit data requirements to begin editing

  1. Editing the data requirements

    • Cap table:

      • Select whether you are collecting the data from the most recent cap table

        • For Carta companies that provide cap table access, data can be accessed at any point

    • Financials:

      • Select whether to include the profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statement

    • Key metrics:

      1. Review the default industry standard metrics

      2. Click Add metric to select from a list of 40 industry standard metrics (i.e., ARR, Webb traffic)

      1. Select the data type. For some metrics, the data type will be automatically applied

      2. Remove key metrics by selecting the minus icon ➖ to the right

    • Forecasts:

      • Select whether you would like to ask for forecasts of required financials and KPIs

    • Files:

      • Check the boxes to request Formation documents and Board deck/Investor decks

  2. Click Save to finalize.
