







How to review your fund financials
When the financial package is ready for your review, you’ll receive an email with a link to review the documents. For audited funds that are part of the Day 1 Fund Financials population, financials may be ready for GPs to review as early as January 2nd.
Click the link in the email, or click on the Review financials task on your Dashboard page to begin.

Request changes or approve
Once the financials are reviewed, you can either request changes be made or approve the financial package. If your fund is audited, approving the package will make it immediately available to the audit team.
If requesting changes, please provide details on the edits required. The financials will be sent back to your dedicated Carta Fund Admin team, who will work with you to make those adjustments. Once the changes are made, you will be notified when it is time to go through the review & approval process again.

Ready to approve
If no adjustments are needed and you are ready to approve, we’ll ask you to confirm your current audit team so we can promptly notify them that the financials are ready to access and share any necessary documents.
To edit the auditor contacts listed in the dropdown click add an auditor or view/edit auditor(s).
From here, the audit team will work with your Carta Fund Admin team to make any necessary adjustments and finalize the audit.

Review options for unaudited quarterly reports
There are additional options available when reviewing quarterly financial statements. GPs have the ability to choose between the following actions:
Approve the financial package and send to LPs immediately
Approve the financial package and schedule it to be sent to LPs at a later date
Approve the financials but do not send
Request changes

Approve & schedule
Using the approve & schedule option, you will be able to choose a date and time to send the financial package and select which LPs to send it to. There is also an option to attach a file to the financials.

Approve only
If you need to attach a document to the financial package that is not yet available (e.g., investor letter), select the Approve only option, then select a reason for not publishing.
After clicking Submit, a task will appear on your Dashboard tab to remind you to publish the financials at a later date. You can revisit the financial package review workflow by clicking on this task, which will allow you to upload the document and publish the financial package.

Once the quarterly financials have been scheduled for release, Carta will automatically share the package with LPs on the scheduled date and time.
