How to share documents with investors

  1. Navigate to the fund containing the documents you'd like to share.

  2. Click into the Partners tab, then select Documents.

  3. Check the box to the left of each document you'd like to include.

  4. Click Actions and select Share documents.

Indicate how you'd like investors to be notified.
  • Choose Send immediately to send a customizable notification to recipients immediately.

  • Choose Send with daily digest to group the notification with other daily updates in a single email.

  • Choose No Notification to simply make the document(s) available for viewing in the LP's Carta account.

Select whether investors will be required to log into Carta to view the document(s).
  • If you choose to require login, the email notification will contain a Log in to view link. Customers have found this option particularly helpful when sending K-1s containing sensitive partner information.

  • If you choose not to require login, the email notification will contain a Download link. These links expire after 15 days, but the LP will still be able to view shared documents through their Carta account.

When finished, click Share.
