How to terminate holders of profits interests (PIUs)
Terminating a holder of Profits Interest Units (PIUs) follows the same standard process as terminating holders of other equity awards like options or RSUs.
Navigate to Essentials → Manage stakeholders
Locate the person you wish to terminate
Click the button to the right of their row and select Terminate stakeholder
Enter the termination details (new relationship, termination type, termination date)
Review the security breakdown - you will see all securities held by the stakeholder, showing Vested and Unvested quantities for each grant
Review the termination details, check the confirmation box, and click Terminate
After completing the termination, PIU statuses update based on their vesting status at termination.
