How do I view and accept my 409A report?
Once your 409A valuation draft has been delivered, the point of contact selected in the 409A request form will receive an email notifying them that the 409A valuation is ready to review.
After the report has been reviewed and your internal sign-off process is completed, you can accept the report on Carta and you will be ready to issue options. The watermarks will automatically be removed after the report is accepted.
My 409A report says "Draft" — where is my final version?
The "Draft" watermark is automatically removed when you formally accept the 409A valuation on Carta. Once accepted, a clean, watermark-free copy is available to download from your 409A Valuations dashboard.
My board needs a clean copy of the draft for their approval process. How do I get one without accepting it first?
When a draft 409A is downloaded from Carta, the file is password-protected (this is an Adobe security feature — Carta does not have the password for downloaded drafts). To receive a clean, watermark-free copy of the draft report before formal acceptance, contact the Carta Valuations team using the Contact our valuation team button on your 409A Valuations dashboard and request it.
