Multi-type documents

Carta LP Portfolio Analytics supports documents that contain more than one type of data, such as a combination of capital accounts (CAS), performance report (PR), fund financial statements (FFS) and cashflow notices (CFN).

Carta LP Portfolio Analytics will split the individual component types so that they can be processed independently, using a single source document. This means you no longer have to upload and process copies of documents for different document types.

Follow these steps:

1. Upload documents as per usual and let them finish parsing

2. When ready, the document will be split into two or more copies, one each for PR, FFS, CAS and CFN (if applicable) assigned to the same fund.

3. In the inbox, an icon next to the document name indicates the multi-type origin

4. You can interact with the three split copies independently (e.g. edit meta-data / re-parse / export / archive / delete / download as PDF). Doing so will not validate or extract data from the other document type(s)
